From the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo airport to Casa Porvenir is about forty-five minutes, a distance of approximately 25 miles.

There are several major American car rental agencies at the airport. 

Taxis from the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo airport are abundant and the drivers are cordial and accommodating.  The one-way fare from the airport to Casa Porvenir is about $60 (USD).  The drivers are willing to stop along the way while you stock up on supplies.  If the delay is appreciable there may be an extra charge.  Be sure to arrange this with the driver beforehand.

Taxis are also readily available during your stay for travel to Troncones and surrounding areas.
