El NidoBehind La Casita, on the mountain side, El Nido (The Nest) is cradled among native trees.  El Nido, a 750 sq. ft. palapa, has a fully equipped kitchenette and bath and sleeps two adults and two children under a classic tropical palm-thatched roof.  Visible from the kitchen and deck is the silhouette of the costal foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range, green during the summer rainy season and gold and brown in the dry winter.

El Nido is a newly (January, 2007) constructed palapa on the property of Casa Porvenir.  A palapa is a circular structure with a thatched palm roof, typical of the tropical coast of Mexico.  Palapas are designed to maximize air circulation, privacy and comfort.  We have named our palapa El Nido (The Nest) because it is nestled amongst indigenous tress. Located approximately 90 feet behind La Casita, El Nido is a short walk from the shore along a private pathway on the property.  El Nido is self contained with:

An Ample Bedroom sleeps 2 adults and 2 children/youth 12-18 years

A deck for sitting and lounging.  Ceiling fans throughout for air circulation and cooling.

A fully provisioned mini-kitchen with stove top and bar with a mountain view.
