There are occasional temporary power outages in the Troncones area. At such times there is a gas-powered generator to supply electricity for essentials.
While insects are typically not much of a problem, insect repellent will come in handy while out and about during the evening and nighttime hours to protect against mosquitoes and gnats. We have generally found fewer insects than is the case in many locales in the US.
There are those who find the sound of the surf somewhat disconcerting at night. Should you think that may be the case for you, ear plugs would be advisable.
Linens and beach towels are provided. Linens are changed twice weekly.
Bottled water for drinking and for brushing teeth is provided.
All restaurants serve bottled drinking water.
Fully equipped pharmacies are located in Zihuatanejo and there is a small pharmacy with the essentials in the nearby town of Pantla.
Dollars can be exchanged for pesos at the airport ATM machines. ATMs usually offer the best rate of exchange. All merchants will take US dollars. You may also exchange dollars at banks in Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa.

No radio or TV are available.
